Cancer researcher,
drummer,
dog dad.
Fifteen years of immuno-oncology and cell therapy. Driven by music and two exceptionally good dogs.
I'm a scientist with 15+ years of experience in cancer research, drug development in immuno-oncology, and more recently, process development in cell therapy. I spent my early career at various research institutions working across fields ranging from neurology to drug resistance in leukemia. I then spent 7 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb building and optimizing in vitro assays to evaluate new and next-generation checkpoint inhibitor therapies.
Most recently I joined Xcell Biosciences to work on the process development side of CAR-T manufacturing, exploring how environmental conditions like oxygen and pressure during cell culture can produce more potent, persistent therapies for solid tumors. Outside of research I've picked up a thing or two about lab management and even built a web app for it in my spare time.
Outside the lab I live in Oakland with my partner and our two dogs — a pit mix named Lula and a husky named Fern. I play guitar and drums and have a deep passion for music. I love editing travel videos, catching live shows, hiking and backpacking, baking when the mood strikes, and anything sci-fi.
